Give em a bell mate, the one near me sent me a letter with the price list inviting me to an open day, from what i've gathered Magnet, which was a kitchen showroom has gone trade only and are looking to get tradesmen to open accounts with them, there offering freebies at the one near me, not sure how it stands countrywide but everyone seems to have got the same leaflet at the same time so worth a try for nowt. Worst case scenario, throw the addy away and use the tub as a bucket.

i have tried bond-it adhesive and it was absolutley fine, i had become really peaved whith some tubbed granfix. so i put down the half used bucket and went round to the nearest place i could think of (Magnet) in Elgin and bought 3 tubs to finnish off with. No repercussions yet:thumbsup:

whats the gurantee on the adhesive?

I had a call from Magnets this morning telling me about the adhesives etc they were stocking and geta free gift if i signed up. On the way past i dropped in, looked at the gear, very cheap but i wouldnt touch the bucket gear. I may try the floor addy though when i get a chance.
Oh and my free gift...A Ragni plastering trowel. Not the best but i would rather have that than a bag of adhesive. It will be good for levelling anyway.

They called me again on tuesday and said i have a free gift. So they came to where i was working and gave me another trowel and a bucket of adhesive just for signing up ...AGAIN:grin:.
Anyway i opened the adhesive this morning on a job, didnt like the look of it. Dipped the trowel in and decided it was only fit for the skip. So if anyone wants it, its on Cannock Chase Foresty centre in the skip.

I didnt make it to the trade open week thingy at the one near me, but they've rung me again this morning asking me to pop in, i said i couldnt make it the other week and to be honest they didnt stock what i was after, the girl said they'd had a bit of feedback like that and as a result were looking at alternative adhesives to stock.

They called again !!! good god i thought, dont they ever give up. This time they said thats i have been given £100 credit to spend in the store......Like yeah i thought, whats the catch ?? No catch they said, come in and walk away with £100 worth of anything, wood screws adhesive door window tools etc.
So just gone in and walked out with 3 sheets 8 x4 18mm wbp ply and a big box of screws.....well and truly stunned and gob smacked.....TOTALLY FREE!!!:grin::grin::grin:
