can anybody shine some laser or light on something for me?

Always used the traditional level sets. but just before xmas I was subcontracting to a building firm.. the foreman was running in lines for the downlights to be put in through the ceiling with his laser level and pole..

all singing dancing things.. self leveling off a pole which when I stuck my 6ft level on it was reading 3-4" out.. :yikes:

SO .. after using it and playing around with how far we could reach with it, i thought id like one.
Ino alot of you use them, and some stayed with just levels & some use both.

what can you recommend in the price range of £90-200 inc pole..

+ I shall be putting your recommendations to TradeTiler

Self levelling tripod laser for me. The staff you can make if it does not come with the laser...

The Bosch Gll2-80 is a good 360dig laser but you are looking over £200.its what I have.
look for Stanley CLL cross line laser on Fleebay! I know someone who has one and I think its pritty good for the money. Comes with a decent pole too.

Laser Levels Online - The Laser Level Specialists - Stanley FatMax CLLi with Pole
heres a complete kit. I use the fat max one tho. Mine came with mini tripod pole brackets magnet bracket laser target and red glasses for about £160. Already had pole. And the fat max has locking mech for the pendulum. Good as gold for money. Never let me down
ooops! Meant SCL like it cos it puts a line across ceiling too! (More useful than u think!)

I paid £100 for a Self leveling laser with tripod off a company that deal with just laser equipment and it has been spot on for small jobs...no big name connected to it.

I really can't fault the CLII mate. I used a tripod for long enough till I got sick of kicking it over in a 16m2 bathroom. Great investment. Stabila has a great rep too but never used one

The use with the pole has been a great experience, but doing large floors etc with the tripod shall bring ease and speed!

360 self leveling tripod laser level very handy to make your datum line with if nothing else. Dont go cheap with the 360 laser level you have to level up yourself,, thats what i did originally and it wasnt very good i ment.

personally I love a laser level its so much easier when you are doing a complete room with doorways as we all know its a bit awkward to level across a door way its quicker too ive got a bosch gll 2 pro and I bought a tripod its got a carry case that goes on my belt too

I won't be going for a laser which doesn't self level.. Kind of defeats the point 😀

I went for the Stanley Fatmax CLLI and I really can't fault it. Comes with a carry case to keep it all neat and tidy in the van.

Do any of you who have a floor laser level find it much help with setting out?

Bosch laser square is great for setting out but I always transfer the lines to the floor then use a chalk line.
