Ok, just wondered how dificult it would be with it only being a small dip. The wall is a real mess, the first pic shows what it is like all over the place. How long do you reckon it will take to fill? I'm thinking about charging a day on top of what I have already quoted. There is 11m2 in total. ( I know it's dificult to say without seeing it!)

Go on your day rate for prep work mate, remember, the more farting about preparing walls you have to do, the more tiling work your missing out on so charge accordingly.

Ok guys, thanks a million! I owe you chaps a pint! :beer_yum:

Bear in mind I'm not up to the speed you guys are yet! I'm still at the stage of doing a bit and then standing back to admire/scrutinise!

I cried the day mirror tiles became unfashionable lol thanks Martin

Ok, I have told her she needs to get the walls plastered. I was trying to clean off the top flakey layer and it just keeps falling of and getting worse, there won't be much left if I carry on. I am not risking the tiles falling off the walls when I have finished the job, I can do without the hassle!

Executive decision made!

Ok lets hear you guys tell me I'm wrong! lol

In the past I have removed all the skim coat, primed the bonding within an inch of its life and then tiled, worked for me then but you have done the right thing.People who want a rush job regardless of the difficulties are ignorant and don't mind jeopordising your reputation,it's worth going with your instinct, and advice of us lads and lassies here
