Not to my knowledge in all honesty.
I always try to do things by the book, standards or Product data sheet. no overloading, no substandards = No callback!

But 9mm ply

Dunno , I guess there are some manufacturers that would say 9mm ply but I have always taken it as min 15mm. That said some adhesive manufacturers say PVA....but would you ?

I suppose im overloading on this job im doing now, 600x300 ceramics on walls that were painted skim.
BUT i scratched the skim and scraped 90% of it off revealing a sand/cement render,so ive primed with the TIlemaster green primer (TA i think)and tiled, and i kid thee not, i took one off the day after, i found a iccle chip on the corner, had to smash the bugger off !

Pete I once had a failure due to weight issues, we were laying onto semi dry the same day using boards to spread the weight. I'm sure most older hands will have done this method.

Our failure was down to one of the tilers,he was 45 stone, beggered the screed up good style.:lol:

How long you been trading.. ?

trading under my own company for less than a year but in the trade for 5 years.

The company i used to work for did everything from bathroom, public toilets, pub wc's, park holiday sites, bar walk, kitchens. all commercial and domestic so probably worked with most substrates tilealbe.
