I'd take no notice of there instalation methods mate !! They haven't got a clue . I was using the video to show the product !! I've spoke to there tech 3 times and there rep and all don't know what there on about !Looks like the video recommends cement board like I posted earlier.
thog looking at th above picture. Self levelling along with a good primer will cut the depth down by 20mm
This is spot on thanks look forward to the pics !! Finally I found someone with the same app from sub floor to trav !! Just out of intreast is the ufh the jg speed fit overlay system !! If not it looks very similar !! Thanks again bri ....regards . Jay - midland premier tiling
Bri - Who laid those slabs?
Would you mind e-mailing them to me ! [email protected] you have been a great help and gone a long way in easing my mind a little ! Regards jI'll get some more pics in a couple of weeks when I'm back there, there is a hot tub on the floor now! The SLC is weber floor flex, so yes, a fibre based one.

No probs ! this is the way I was going to do it after ignoring there spec ! So yeh was just after the mm of slc but 5-10 mm looks ok !! Relief to find someone who has laid trav on this system ! And on this way ! Wonda floor are far more informative and have got there spec bang on !! Speed fit needs to sort there stall out !!
couldn't he just slc over it and while it is setting fix cement boards down over the ufh being careful not to hit the wires? just an idea like but doubt it will be a good one lol...... coats on doors open lol
Not sure, a builder I reckon. They've had a fair bit of work done, still going on now. I've got a wet room to do for them in a couple of weeks.
Ash, cement boards must be glued & screwed to the substrate,
How will he achieve this with ufh?
Ditra then travertine
Annoyingly, I don't have a pic of the finished floor! I was there again today and the floor is in perfect condition still, it's only been down a couple of months but, good signs.
It's a drain, there is a hot tub sat on there now. You can see the waste pipe for it sticking out of the floor.
