Fighting back

I was reading my local paper today and saw a story that put joy in my heart!

This flooring contractor was owed £30,000 for a floor he screeded at Tescos. The company he did the work for kept delaying payment for months and even sent a cheque that bounced.
This contractor had 4 employees and was facing losing his business, his home and Christmas was a month away. He went to the office and demanded his money but the MD wouldn't even see him so that is when he snapped,he went back to his van fetched a drum of some kind of Silicon went back in the offices and drenched every computer, hard drive, printer scanner, desk, soffa and chair until it was ruined, damage to the tune of £27,000.He was arrested later that day for criminal damage.

He went to court last week and was given 200 hours community service,no sentence, payment or anything else. The judge said while he didn't condone his actions he was driven to it through those circumstances which the company put him through.

Thats what I call justice!

Yep he has a record, criminal damage. The same as smashing a window, well worth it for the sheer satisfaction.

Theres nothing wrong with a criminal record, mines Vanilla Ice "Ice Ice Baby!"

Good on him for getting his money but he must have been driven to the brink to do what he did. Some contractors just think they can get you to do the job and have you wait 60 to 90 days for your money,so again for the newbies just beware another good story for all to consider.

Another alike story from here: 4 years ago a carpenter in Hamburg had built a roof truss and wasn´t paid. So he took a motor saw and sawed the roof truss down again. He also got a criminal record but a) was paid finally and b) had set a sign to all customers who didn´t pay their workers for a long time as it was in the newspapers as a warning.
