Grit Reserving Already!

Unlucky lads!

Just been on the news, despite the fact we had plenty of warning of this, and we know it's now lasting for months, and councils promised with news reports from grit storage places that we had plenty of grit to last...... COUNCILS ARE NOW BEING TOLD TO RESERVE THE GRIT!!!!

So hopefully they have enough until you guys break up! Else that's more madness.

How the hell do they think companies can do business over what's probably the most busy period for transporting of good and getting jobs done, when we can't use roads?!?!?!

It does my head in. Billions wasted and the things we need suffer.

This is all because mikethetile kept voting Labour! I told him not to! :lol:

I'm very lucky so far as where I live so far south and in a coastal region we have not had much snow just a couple of hours that wet in two days when it rained. But it has been cold enough to freeze the roads. But I have not seen a single grit truck. Not one. and for a few days week b4 last the roads were like alaskan lakes in mid winter.

I'm sure I read on here or one of the other forums the other day that they saw a gritter go past, then an hour later a road sweeper. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Whiz kid on a computer that is somewhere organising that. He's on an average national wage (albeit with a might fine red carpet pension fund) better than within the private sector. He's warm, lives local, has a calculator and a boss, and a button on his computer that sends out service trucks on a timetable.

I bet the guy has never worked anywhere else and came from the days when uni fee's were cheap.

I must be the lad that got transfered from my local hospitals opointment booking department.

My customer today was telling me he and a neighbour used a grit bin and shovels to treat the roads and pavements in his street and a few paths to front doors.Good guy I thought. As soon as it thawed a lot of the neighbours swept it off the pavements and paths in front of their houses.....dumb or what?
