Should airlines charge more for overweight passengers?

Lets face it the seats are small and uncomfortable enough without a big fatty next to you. Justy out of interest i read a while back that cattle on the way to slaughter are entitled to more room than a human on a flight.

To an extent Jay, but I dont think they can take all the blame, or be accused of being too greedy, the rises in fuel cost have a lot to answer for, as illustrated by alot of the budget airlines going bust becuase they just couldnt continue to operate at the price they were charging for seats, so I suppose those that reamain are faced with either increasing ticket cost or cramming in more passengers per flight.

Not British Airways though, they dont spend anything on fuel becuase they are always on stirke!!!

Oh, and can I have a price reduction as a long legged (32"inside leg) person who never has enough leg room?? Pfffff..... I sit in discomfort, too, because of seating design based on greed...

airlines have a legitimate business reason to impose these requirements on it's staff as it's all to do with reputation and quality. only beautiful people work on the airlines, it's a sad but true fact.

I believe it more to do with safety Liz - Re: height and weight restrictions

probably. but it's also about looking good. you don't want to be served your inflight meal by somebody you don't want to look at or ogle.

Clearly you have not flown with the same airlines as I have 😛uke:

I believe Monarch was the worse, The air was so thick with rancid perfume I considered smashing the window regardless of the consequences

has anyone sat next to an overwieght person, well i had to, (only briefly though). the person was that fat she took half my seat as well. i complained and got upgraded to business class as there wasn't any standard seats left.:hurray::lol::lol:
