any advice re bad tiling job would be appreciated

shes not used tubbed adhesive all over the walls just in some areas cos she said walls were so bad had to put on extra thick, shes a plasterer and should have known, she told me on 2nd day that the walls should have been skimmed grr. she put down flexible floor adhesive on top of heating mat and then tiles on top of that, im worried my floor heating will be damaged if tiles are removed

I wouldn't expect to be paid if I left a job like that.
It looks more like a 'before' picture from a before and after set of photo's

the problem is im a single parent i dont have any spare cash, ive just spent over 30 grand getting lots of my house renovated and a new bathroom fitted and these tiles , this was going to be one of the last big jobs left, ive got a few bits of plastering and decorating left to do. i cant afford to be out of pocket , its really worrying me

i agree but she doesnt see shes done anything wrong thats the problem shes accused me of damaging these tiles on purpose on floor and 2 chipped on walls, it is worse than photos are showing too , she cant see the cuts at edges and top are wrong i didnt know that til today and ex came round and told me

i really appreciate all your kind words and advice, i might do that, but i know she will lie as shes already lying in her emails to me, shes not been back since ive complained as she wants £200 upfront, but she said any thing thats not her fault like walls out, floor not laid right to edges although she should have put an inch of adhesive under edge not left with nothing she is not going to re do unless i pay her, shes also said i told you walls were out before i started which she didnt , so some of these issues are my word against hers, but the evidence of her tiling is there to see clearly

this cowgirl needs shot for doing this to you.

when ordering more tiles you will have to ask them for the same batch and shade number so that they match.

Because the tiles are in brickbond if they are bowed they will be difficult to get a nice finish. I generally tell the customer this and they usually go with having them landscape and inline. I wish you the best of luck.

if you was to take those pictures to small claims court it doesn't matter how much moaning and lying is done... she will still be paying court costs and then some... just put some pressure on and hint to her that you are considering taking the matter to court and see if she sorts it out as someone mentioned in a previous thread about another bad job

Dont direct her to this forum as she will read a few threads think shes a tiler amd go do another shocking job. Me personally id keep all her gear threaten negative feedback on her profile and go to small claims to recover cost of tiles amd ufh. Maybe then she will never touch another tile. People need to be punished when they produce work like this! My rant done for tonight think I need a stella now

That mess is not even DIY standard! And it's got nothing to do with bowed tiles either. The person claiming to be a tiler has ruined your tiles, thankfully you have not given her any money! Shocking

Those tiles are far too large to be fixed with a ready mixed adhesive.
Max tile size is 300x300.
You are going to have to take her to court if she thinks this is an acceptable standard of work.
