Calculating tiles

Hi Guys,
Having measured up and attained a figure in square meters, does the percentage you add for wastage change depending on size of tile
being used, or maybe pattern. For instance, if I have a measurement of 15.4 M2, tiles are 600 x 300, what percentage should I allow for.

10% square laid

20% diamond.

Bigger tiles can create a little more waste, with 10% waste you'd need 17m with 20% you'd need 18.5m. With a 60x30 I'd go for 18m, it never hurts to have a few spare.

Check with where you're buying them from, a lot of places will take back full boxes

If you know the size of the tiles you wish to use, staff out the room so you can see where every tile is going and count them. Then if you think you are going to need lenty of spares get extra!

Normally 10 %

10-15% a must depend what u aid out and what u can trust to your cutter 😀
