doug boardley

it's now official! been for a follow up appointment to my doctor today as a result of an X-ray on my left knee (already had six ops on it) and it's goosed with no chance of further surgery helping, unless I have a knee replacement but I'm too young at 46:thumbsdown:,. My best option is to take 4 painkillers a day, thus enabling me to give my left quadricep a fighting chance of mainting muscle integrity to support my left knee.
A lesson to newbies, always wear knee pads or use kneeling mats, I didn't when I was younger!

Oh dear. Sorry to hear that doug. My step dad has just had his knee replaced and its like being 20 again (apart from being fat and bald). Hes always has bad knees because he didnt wear pad as a youngster (hes a chippy) so I wont do anything unless Im wearing mine. Im going to order him a pair of alpro knee pads from tradetiler as his birthday is coming up.

Have you got a youngster you can get to do all the kneeling down from now on?

Sorry to hear that Doug.

My right knee is goosed.......this time of year anyway. (Football injury) Cartlidge taken out 16 years ago, and it gets as stiff as a board in the cold, and aches like an achy thing.

P.S. Can I have first shout at ya gear

I know what you are saying Doug.. i too was a none knee pad wearer..

But with the help of Alpro maybe i can last a bit longer..

Rugby and lack of Knee pads im afraid

I had my first op 25 years ago, it was a result of too much rugby, athletics, and general tear assing around. But it was the work and continual bad practice of thinking I'm tough and it'll never bother me ha ha attitude that's resulted in the bad state it's in know. But at least I've got an excuse for not getting carpet burns now:lol:
