Do you know the speed limit for your van?

I been pulled for speeding on dual carrigeway. doing 70 but allowed 60 only because it is commercial vehicle (vivaro).got away with it as he was on his own....

Got done last year for 68 on the a64 ( dual carriageway ) didnt know it was 60 for a van . Went on the course and was told all vans and pickups, including car derived vans come under the same rules.

motorways. 70
dual carriageways with a barrier 60
50 everywhere else unless it is limited lower, ie 40, 30 or 20 mph

I must admit it's the 1st time in 4yrs that it's let me down.
Top suspension mount got replaced at an mot but this is the 1st it's broken down on me.
Been a fantastic van.

I stand corrected, berlingo's and combo's are proper commercial vehicles. Astra van's would be classed as car derived, but must remain under 2t gvw to allow it to drive at normal speed limits. So chances are boys you're all driving commercial vehicles so you need to be aware of your load weights and reduced speed limits.

If the Cops wanna pull me over, they have to catch me first...... But saying that, i live in London so i spend most of my time in traffic anyway so even getting up to 10mph makes me nervous :lol:
