was a really really relaxing back slapping do, drink, eat, people watching sort of break, just Ryanair spoiled the ambience with the stunt they pulled:20:

To be honest though it was not RyanAirs fault though was it.

The person booking the flights messed up by not selecting to check-in for the return flight, hence not being issued with the return checking in documents, AND THEY ALL CHARGE AROUND £40 TO ACTUALLY CHECK-IN AT THE AIRPORTS.

So they didn't really pull any stunt at all and your frustration should be aimed at the "travel agent" friend of yours, no ?

I would have thought checking in is a pretty standard part of your flight, it shouldn't be an extra!

I think they were talking about tightening up how airlines advertise flights. If I price a job I don't turn up and say 'if you want me to get my tools out the van it's extra'

Your missing the point.

Everything is advertised on the website when you book these low budget flights, you just have to read everything, like you would normally.

I hear what you're saying but you might miss what I’m saying, the only things that should be an option are extras like meals, first class, extra leg room blah blah blah

I think luggage check-in should be included and if you are only taking hand luggage then it should be an option to take it off not put it on when that is the way the majority of people fly

It would not be unreasonable to think that when clicking check-in that the return flight is included. I just think it's an underhanded way of selling and Ryan Air are renowned for it

the people that hadn't checked in on line were okay Fekin, it was people that checked in on line that got stumped. If there is a button to click, apparently it's not very obvious, there was a lot of very irate passengers, so perhaps Ryanair need to address this issue. I was up to my limit on my credit card (as always!!) and had minimal cash on me as our break was all inclusive, luckily the other couple had enough cash to pay, or we could have been stranded:thumbsdown:

I guess you will know better then for next time you fly a budget airline then, that you will need your check-in \ bording cards already printed for both outbound and inbound flights, otherwise you will end up paying a £40 fee again.

Another point to remember is even once you have printed out all your documents for both flights, you will need to go online just under 24hrs before "both flight times" to check that the flights have not been changed timewise, as if they have, you will need to re-print new ones off, otherwise you will get charged at the airport if you have the wrong docs printed, even that they were correct at the time you printed them off.

on the plus side: both flights were on time with no delays, we even landed 15 mins early on the return flight:hurray:
