its gotta go mate give it to a dog trust or summit, cant take a chance when that happens hope ypur wife is ok:thumbsup:

thanks for your concern..we've been onto a boxer rescue place, but again..it's hard to re-home a dog that's bitten. I just keep thinking 'why?'!!..I know everyone says it, but he's always been as soppy as anything..I suppose that's the thing with animals..they may get domesticated, but there's always the 'animal instinct' in them.

Never met a bad boxer...........my brothers have both had boxers, and wot a soppy breed they are.

Have you had him checked out by a vet? Maybe he has a problem that you haven't noticed????

Is this a nasty type bit or an over playful one..

Was he provoked or just a spur attack.?

unfortunately a proper coat ripping puncture wound type..no grey area.
completely out of the blue whilst walking him. we have been advised by a boxer expert that it may be a sign of brain tumor (which the breed is very prone to) as it was so unprovoked and random (my wife said he just flipped..then came 'back in the room' all of a sudden as it were) again either way it's the end of the road really.

OK.. just had to ask..

I would not pass him onto anybody else... Do you right thing and take him to the vets and well you know what..

That way you will not as a family wonder how he is getting on or how he is being treat..

agree wi that one:thumbsup:

hate to say it but I think you're right Dave.
Just a real shock. But whatever the reason I don't think I could live with it if he bit mine or someone else's kid. As someone posted earlier, they are SUCH a dosile breed, I think that's why I'm struggling to take it in really.
Once again thanks to y'all for your kind words. I'm off now to spend a bit of time with him.

sorry to hear of your quandry Jamie, I had a dog from a pup that bit my mates toddler in the calf, no hesitation on my part, I had straight down to the vets to administer the big easy. I couldn't have beared it if he'd bit another kiddie and scarred anyone.

It's hard jamie, they become a part of the family...

Could you not kennel him out side and only you walk him..?.. just an option..
