a sad day

Jamie, I'm not a dog lover, but I was sad to read your story (especially as I'm about to go to bed). I was hoping for a happy ending to this thread, but I guess this is life. Your Wife & family are more important. Sid probably had an illness or something. you definitely did the right thing. Cheers Sean

sorry to hear jamie, really feel for you mate.
Years ago when we had our first baby we had two dogs and one day they had a fight. I came home to find 'my' dog had been taken to a kennel as it was the most dangerous.(but never the instigator of the fight) Still miss her but I know it was always the right thing to do

sorry to hear the news Jamie. I missed my Barney terribly when he had to be put asleep when I was just 2 years old. he'd had a good life though and brought much happiness to my dad after his first wife died.

I was in our vets this morning and saw a sign for bereavement counselling via the vets surgery. i was most impressed with that.
