One of those what?
And i haven't a clue what the second sentence is all about!

One of the supporters that get's upset that can't get a ticket because of outoftowners

TBF to Newcastle there are one of the few clubs that could fill the stadium with local supporters without any help. But football wouldn't be football without fans from across the globe wanting to watch the best players that don't happen to play at the end of their garden.

When I grew up all i wanted to do was watch Rush and Daglish, I could say that my local team Brighton were rubbish but at that time they wern't

Best players come and go!
Your football team is always there.
If Brighton had local support after the good Cup runs they may still have a ground they could call home.
Barcelona have the way forward for football - the clubs have to be owned by the community -120,000 shareholders and a waiting list.
Manchester United -£600million debt and owned by Americans - come on you Green and Yellows!

The Brighton chairman sold the land for £5m to a retail park it wasn't that the supports disappeared, he promised to build a new stadium with the money within two years and in turn the supporters said they would boycott any stores opening in the old grounds, neither the promise or the threat materialised - One greedy/stupid chairmen = failed football club.

I'm sure Mike Ashley’s intentions were good and you don't get his sort of money without having a brain but he doesn't know how to run a football club and he allowed a succession of bad managers try and buy success and the supporters faith who demanded results with a bunch of prima donnas who ultimately crippled the club. I don't know as i'm sure you know more about the club than me but NU would have had a different fate had they not swapped and changed managers so quickly IMO. That seat is considered a poision chalice considering the amount of managers careers it's ended. Is any of that the supporters fault? Is the dire situation at Liverpool the supporters fault? If Liverpool go to the wall It won't be because of the fans, I hate the owners but I also don't want some arab or indian multi billionaire to come and treat it as his play thing

I'am a UNITED fan - Newcastle United - because I was born and live here!
What excuse do all you fans have for supporting teams nowhere near where you live.
Well done Manchester United for winning in the San Siro!
My mum met them all (The Busby Babes, the second batch) when she worked at Killington Services, John, She was gobsmacked at how polite and kind they all were. I guess I got to support Utd 'cos I used to listen to my mum:thumbsup:

I am from Liverpool and suport Liverpool, dont like foreign teams think there players are flooding our leagues, but at the end of the day Man u fans would never suport liverpool and likewise, if sunderland are playing how many newcastle fans would be cheering for them, its all freindly banter and as long as thats how it stays because i abhore violence

If I made the rules.........

1, Kick out all the foreign players for good.
2, All teams have to be made up from local players that were born within 20 miles of the club.
3, The squad would be no bigger than 20 men.
4, The maximum wage would be no more than £5000 a week.
5, A ticket would be no more than £10.
6, Oap's and children would be let in for free.
7, The wearing of gloves (apart from the keeper) would be banned. (big pansies)
8, Video evidence would be in use for blind refs.
9, No club could be owned by a foreigner.
10, Any player who tried to gain an advantage by falling would be banned for 3 months. (without pay)

That would level the leagues out.

While i know next to zero about football and sort of agree ?
1, Kick out all the foreign players for good. Wouldnt 1 and 2 be the same ?
2, All teams have to be made up from local players that were born within 20 miles of the club.
3, The squad would be no bigger than 20 men. Ok ?
4, The maximum wage would be no more than £5000 a week. Still seems a lot to me but hey ho
5, A ticket would be no more than £10. Now wouldnt that overcrowd the grounds ...please see 6
6, Oap's and children would be let in for free. Then no one else would be able to get in ?
7, The wearing of gloves (apart from the keeper) would be banned. (big pansies) Dont understand the reason behind that ?
8, Video evidence would be in use for blind refs. A jury of 3 camera refs would be good with radio contact with ref
9, No club could be owned by a foreigner. With all these rules would they want to own an English club ?
10, Any player who tried to gain an advantage by falling would be banned for 3 months. (without pay) OK

That would level the leagues out.

Just my pennyth !

football is a short career, I don't think wage capping is the answer, what happens if a player "serves his time" then gets crippled? Agents are the ones that need reining in imo:thumbsup::thumbsup:

so what will be the story at Old Traford? have Utd done enough with three away goals, to seal a place through to the quarter finals? I'm sure AC will come all guns blazing, but leave themselves open to Utd's lightning counter attack! My prediction for second leg is 4:2, to Utd:hurray:
