any type of grout that looks closest to pointing?

Hi all

I got a really tricky one thats boggling my brain

Basically Im doing brickslips on an exterior job. The client wants them pointed which means a crazy spacing(maybe a 10mm or so to simulate surrounding brickwork) The only thing is that its being done on WBP so I want a flex wide joint grout that looks closest to sand and cement pointing.

Any Ideas

I would love to use sand and cement but I am unsure about its longevity on an exterior plywood job.

Not sure that fixing brickslips to plywood on an exterior position will give you longevity either!
On interior brickslips to plywood I'd use Ardex grey grout with a bit of Ardion 90 admix for flex.

I'd be worried about plywood for external works.....

I know about the plywood and am concerned but its all been done by architects/engineers suits etc etc. Timeless John is there anyway I can make that grout look like sand and cement or can it be used in part with the two? Can you please recommend the adhesive you would use for this job?

you can use Ultra wide joint grout (instarmac) it takes up to 20mm

Hi you have a problem plywood should not be used backerboard imo even cement board yes you can use sand & cement imo with a flexible admix but they also do ready made cement based mortars but would be better using a gun where is the job ? ete

I eventually got them to overboard with Marmox(told them product guarantees would be void otherwise). going to point it with sand cement with an SBR additive (similar to BAL bond) prob going to find another similar product at the buiders merchants.Im still framing and boarding but think I will be going with Ardex 77? (I really dont know why its just oldschool and it always destroys my buckets:lol:.....Thanks for your number PJC will keep it for when things go pear shaped lol

I would use a admixture like the pci grout adhesive admixture does ardex77 hold the bricks up without spacers ? Never used it
