Time's Ran Out

As I've mentioned in another thread we've ( little John & me) got a rather nice job to start out on Hadrians Wall.
Well today we went out to check measure the work and meet the clients again from 2 months ago!
Clean van, very warm clothing, and 1 minute early - everything seemed to be going right.
Then I introduced my son - so it's 'John and John E' - and for the next 30minutes that was it I didn't get another look in!
He took over the discussion, answered all their questions gave the starting date and left me to take notes!
27 years old and he's now telling his Old Man what to do!
Do you think he will soon be paying me to stay at home!!!!!!!!!!

Jeez John, i knew you were old but didnt you finish the wall 1st time around ?:lol::lol:

Go for it, let young John suffer any stress and respossiblity on the job.

Just mix for him:lol:

If you didn't have to contradict him once and everything he said was correct and well thought, well then John you've taught him well and you can take a back seat, relax and concentrate on retirement to Marbella:lol::lol:

But that's just it - 11years ago when he started I got my first paddle mixer and on that Fossil Stone job I turned to him and said -'that's it your sacked I don't need you now!

Let him take over John.............he'll need the money to pay for your care home in a few years time :lol::lol:

wish my lad was that good,:lol::lol:
mind you he gained second place in the skillsbuild competition NI a couple of weeks ago.
just wish he had the ball to tile a bathroom now !! it'll come i'm sure.

shafted by your son /////// let him have all the headaches quoting costing paying bills organising hell soon sit back and listen :lol:

Good to hear that you've taught him and brought him into the ranks John. I'm sure you'll be on the tools for a good while yet!
