hi lads,i have been with my mate today at the solicitors along with the written statement i made, the solicitor telephoned CTD and spoke to the branch manager explaining everything and that my mate was taking legal proceedings against his former employee. The manager at CTD was told he was under strict instruction not to discuss this with anyone, and not to repeat what was said to me to anyone else, this was going to be re-iterated to his staff, and also that the member of staff who told me was going to get a rollicking. The manager has CONFIRMED that the members of staff who were told these lies WILL make a written statement for my mates solicitor to take to court and that they will be allowed time off work to be called as witnesses if the need arise,So it looks as though management at CTD are doing there best to help sort out what would otherwise have been a very damaging situation.I have also passed word to a lot of my friends who personally know my mates ex employer, about his exploits, needless to say he is not very well thought of now

Just think what would have happened if you HADN'T told him.

Well done for plucking up the courage for doing so, it's not always easy is it, nor is it always right to interfere, but I think in this case we are all in agreement that it was.

you are correct there MG,it was hard to tell him for a couple of reasons,

1, did he think i was trying to cause trouble
2, did he think i believed the story=well not for a moment did i
3, how would he take it
4, would he think everyone was talking about him behind his back
5, would he get himself in trouble by going and battering the guy
6, would he turn his back on everyone thinking no one trusted him now

well i am pleased to say the answers to those questions were all NO
