You need to stipulate your terms on the commencing of the job. Ask this company what their terms are, it could be as simple as they only pay on 60 or 90 days terms.

Live and learn if that their way dont do busines with them again or bill them 60 days before you start the job!

If you pm me your email address, I will send you at 7 day warning letter of court proceedings - that usually works for me - limited companies cannot have county court judgements against them. It also costs a small amount to issue the court proccedings.

It is always best for someone different to chase the money owed than the tiler who did the work for the company - ask your partner/sister to telephone the accounts department in the first instance and then chase the company director - that is the advice given by the specialists on credit control.
